We had an incredible time at this hotel! The view of the mountains is amazing, especially when enjoying the breakfast spread, which had an impressive range of dishes. Also, the staff was extremely supportive, always happy to help and answer any queries we had. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the fact that it is conveniently located close to the Hot Spring area of the Rio Minho, providing an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

Nothing, all excellent!

Hotel is a very impressive building. Very big generous rooms, big windows. Restaurant requires booking but the "snacks" at the bar are quite substantial, we ate there most nights. All staff very friendly. Indoor pool really excellent, outdoor pools pretty good (65cm depth for children's). Children's playpark functional - not of the hotel, a public one nearby, maybe 400m walk along the road or 150m through the wood we found eventually.

I was shocked at the €30/night supplement for my 5 and 2 yr olds after already paying €160/night for the suite, with no justification - not for extra bed, simply as it was "hotel policy". Then at that price our first suite's double bed was actually two singles pushed together - luckily they moved us to another. No iron available anywhere for guest use, one has to pay the ironing service. "Free internet" was actually one computer for the whole hotel, with sign saying "please do not use for more than 10 mins" - unless you want to pay for Vodaphone on your own machine. All gave the impression the management are quite mean, and so I score this very low for value for money.

amazing weekend trip in melgaco! monte prado hotel & spa exceeded our expectations. modern decor, lovely surroundings, helpful staff, and fresh food. beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and great amenities. definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in the middle slopes of a beautiful river. The service here was impeccable, from the friendly staff to the prompt room service. The room itself was spacious and clean, with all the amenities we could ask for. We especially loved the balcony, where we could enjoy the breathtaking view. The hotel also had a spa and wellness center, which was a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring.

Surrounded by natural beauty, this hotel located near by the Minho River offers noteworthy facilities such as an outdoor pool, a great breakfast, and well-equipped rooms with stunning mountain views. The nearby sports center adds another reason to stay with their available activities. You will be pleased with the friendly staff that provides high service and the relaxing SPA center for unwinding.

One minor issue reported by guests was the grass on the hotel's grounds not being well-manicured in certain areas, which could detract from the overall appearance.

Loved the breakfast variety, especially the fresh juices and pastries! The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the location was close to some great hiking trails. The staff at the restaurant were accommodating and friendly.

The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible. I could hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms.
